- I've added the basics of the Kingdom System. The completion
will take time. A kingdom can be chosen in creation or *once*
by typing kingdom set <name>. Each kingdom will have a
few abilities. For now you can use both. But in Part 2, each
faction will have an ability and you must pick which:
- Stonereach (Barrow Wardens) - Hardiness. Solid HP buff
- Stonereach (IronFist) - Irongrip. Melee damage buff
- Stonereach (sage?) - Mystics buff? unimplemented
- Blackspire (Blackguard) - Vigilance. Offense buff
- Blackspire (Conclave) - Spirelink. Energy buff (probably changing
to aura level)
- Blackspire (resistance?) - Stealth buff? unimplemented
- Winterhaven (FrostArms?) - All Defense Rank buff? unimplemented
- Winterhaven (rangers?) - Crystal feast? (needs better name)
Regen buff.
- Winterhaven (Order of Star) - Augmentation. +Tech/spell level
buff.
The abilities aren't meant to be amazing. But I do want them
to encourage a better distribution of players by kingdom (entice
players of a specific build into a specific kingdom). I plan to
leave Clans independent of the Kingdoms so you can mingle with
those of different character paths.
Code:
- New prompt features: %Y, %y and %p, %P. These all display
percentage life. The capital letters make the percentage change
color based on how low it is. Y is for your target's health.
P is for your pet's health.
- Your own pet will also show in Group bar prompts (type prompt
group). A number of new prompt options have been added for the
new features. Type prompt.
- Hopefully fixed the 'blindness' people have been experiencing
randomly.
- You can now attack mobs that are battling other mobs. (Mithilu
statue)
- Flurry of blades is a solid 1 round speed buff. I will need
to balance it.
- Quest damage numbers shouldn't be so crazy now.
- Better mob autoset for builders (autoset <class> <boss/etc>)
- Pets will attempt to flee if their master does, not necessarily
the same way.
- Happy Pets revive sooner. The cost to revive a pet is based
on time remaining. This means if you wait 5 minutes to revive,
you save some cash. It should make pet death more managable
without making it entirely trivial.
- The ToHit stat is now more important the more speed/energy
you have. Every 300 speed and 400 energy used incurs a 5% accuracy
penalty. In my tests this was very gentle, almost negligible.
I will tweak it over time. The goal is to have a balanced stat
desirable by all players similar to Evisc. I won't make this
too important until we have more ways to acquire +ToHit.
- I'm also interested in a better name than ToHit. Focus, Concentration,
Precision, Accuracy all come to mind, but each has issues in
length or prior use.
Logain's Additions:
- New food types to be used in cooking (upcoming/later addition)
- Command for imms to view 'misplaced items'.
- Pet damage boosted. Pet item cost decreased.
- Other pet fixes added.
- Blink Weapon flag added. Data wflag blink. Quicken speed
bonus reduced but executes blink also.
- Portal entry takes 20% of your max AP. This is mainly to
hinder spam portal killing which is too bot-friendly.
- Treat duration raised a little. Treat works on primary and
secondary items.
- Aura of light has a syntax message when you type aura.

- Sneak attack damage is now boosted slightly by your tech
level.
- Mobs that drop 'Group' loot will gain hp for each person
grouped.
- Shadowmeld (Drow) improved some.
- New autoset feature for Builders. They can pick from 8 standard
classes to give mobs basic stats very quickly. Consider shows
next to Race if set.
- Fixed it so Aura pace of 0. 3 will build up to a hit every
3-4 rounds.
- Made food affects work properly when eaten (petals, fish).
- Added damage moderation for Quest mobs. This will partially
average out low and high damage numbers for more reasonable
control.
- Changed Crackling's Paralysis to a random chance based on
the flag power.
- Increased the Swarm spawn rate, but set them to perish after
an hour.
- Account potential should no longer be a factor during Domination.
- Big task extend bug was fixed.
- Adjusted values for the domination holiday, slightly shortened
reward.
- No longer need to relog to get Domination bonus.
- New potion loots. 10 types of potions, 5 of the potions are
common (heal, mana, small stat boosts). 5 potions are rare (exp,
restore...) . You can combine the 5 commons to make the rares,
read help potion. Initially this will be cumbersome while I
figure out how to manage sorting and combining potions efficiently.
Perhaps they will need their own account storage.
Logain's Additions:
- Craft enchant <item> <type>. Types include melee,
aura, tech, magic. Type is not required.
- Orb of Perfection added as a rare drop. Converts an item
to Epic grade.
- Skill fixes, Deathblows no longer are purchased perks. Refund
automatic.
- Nofollow and sit fixed for pets. Pet Order command added.
- Pet Grouping should work.
- New pet advancement system makes all feeding more useful.
- Crafter perk made useful again.
- Torches can be upgraded (only useful for better infusion
chances)
- You can add slots to Arm equipment through craft enchant.
- Pet damage filter added.
- Pet killing things will let the master loot now.
- Fade weapon flag adjusted.
- Sentinel given more useful affects. Retreat added to guard.
Code pt. 2:
- Important - Skills have been getting an unnatural boost for
the past 3 weeks. I apologize for leaving this bug in place
long enough for everyone to get used to it, but life was too
hectic to do otherwise. This bug has been corrected. You will
see a significant decline in your tech damage and buffs and
a smaller decline in spells. Don't be too alarmed.
- Silent Group Loot! No more spamming out when you kill an
Ember Fanatic (I hope).
- The Clan with the most territory each cycle wins a +HP/+Luck
buff for a while.
- Champions may load with the appropriate slayer types now.
- Various conveniences added so I can build better.
- Quest making commands improved. Mortswitching added for contests.
- 3 New spells added to the QuestMaster. You can pay QP to
buff the whole mud. The spells are: Insight (+exp), Prowess
(+skill/damage), Life (+Hp). Not large boosts. Type: quest purchase,
to see prices. (Subject to CHANGE:)
- Digging up buried items will soon have a chance to discover
Treasure Pieces. These pieces will be used as quest handins
to assemble the full item/artifact. Artifacts are temporary
items with fairly nice bonuses. Some treasures will be permanent.
- You may type: abil ready to see which techs are ready to
go.

- Wrote a ROM area converter. Accepting ROM area donations
from their authors only. MProgs now support mob sounds and echos
(sounds heard in nearby rooms) for this.
- Task extend bugs fixed, may be more of them.
- Obj extend lists extendable areas. Obj <area> lists
goals for one area.
- Color scheme added for emotes. Type scheme emote <color>
- New RP holiday can be set by imms for double RP experience.
- Fixed pk bugs including pk triggered when hitting self.
- Findstat eq att spee would show the total attack and speed
on worn items.
- Reduced spam on Auto Auctions. Should be bearable now.
- New command: faction. This is incomplete but I want name
suggestions.
- Territory Capturing is Back! We're going to need to test
this as I had to rewrite it. Clans may claim 2 territories that
are protected. All other areas can be taken by killing mobs.
The clan with the most influence shown in 'territory war' at
the end of a cycle will control the area.
- The holiday: Domination is now a raid holiday. Whenever this
begins all territories are locked and a race begins to raid
the most territories. Even claimed areas are fair game. When
a holiday ends, the clan who has done the most work receives
an 20 minute exp bonus. Territories then return to normal.
- Hopefully prevented dig events from being placed in most
maze spots.
- Dice command written by Broan. It's a 6 result little random
roller.
- Various crash fixes.
- Master Account perks: Warding and Defend added.
- Major change to login process. Remake will no longer require
multiple logins.
- New rare Ember type drops mainly in high level zones as rare
loot.
- Treat/Blade Flare now has realistic limitations for stacking
flags. Some flags made more reasonable. More to do.
- Arm slot can now be craft enchanted.
- When you sacrifice an item, it will refund a fair portion
of the QP spent from craft enchanting.
- Data eq <name> allows you to view the base stats on
armor/weapons.
- Killing blows will report damage correctly.
- Improved enchanting results based on type.
- You can use craft mod/convert to change from one sword to
another for gold.
- Craft Disassemble disabled as it's usefulness is lost. This
may change when crafting allows item creation in the future.
- New rare loot: Void orb. Extracts an imbue stone from an
object.
- New command: craft orb. Takes a sizable amount of plans to
create an orb of Design.
- Improved secondary wielding (removed some minor bugs)
- Immslot added to torches. In addition to melee/magic enchant
tokens, you can specify aura or tech as well.
- Many bug fixes.
- All tech skills are now learned by skill rank, not skill
total.
- Pet Command Added. This is the beginning of a big change.
These pets are stored in your account and gain experience while
they travel at your side. You can custom name them and store
more than one. We will be doing more with this in the future,
most likely including unique pet abilities and advanced pets
that are unlocked by training or mixing regular pets.

- You may now voluntarily register your email address, type:
acc stat for info.
- Task extend should work for all normal areas. You need to
start the quest at the Steward first by saying the area's name.
- Opt Simple is a *much* cleaner identify display. Try it out.
Type 'idfull' to quickly see the old id display while this option
is on.
- Incognito is working for imms and mortal builders.
- Grandmaster account perk may work now. Didn't test so let
me know.
- Major bug fix on the greet command.
- Enhanced the display for auctions, may need a little more
work.
- Sped up RP experience, probably too much, but I can retroactively
fix that.
- Fixed a bug that was briefly loading magic enchants based
on the item's level.
- Quest items can now be put into the supply pouch individually.
Sorry for the hassle.
Logain's Additions:
- Silent sneak attacks fixed. Let us know if more silent damage
occurs.
- New eq-display! If you hate it, you can type: alias eq eq
old
- Object Slots displayed differently.
- Restores don't work for people who are in or were recently
in PK.
- Auction Id # works like GShop ID.
- Auto Auction will no longer sell things below wear level
100.
- Aura was not passing through all damage checks and bypassed
Sanc, etc. This resulted in some damage bonuses and has been
fixed. Report changes to us
- Improved Combat Filters (some errant reporting/order).
- Adjusted PK damage further. Made the reduction more consistent.
- A new item will drop called the Orb of Design. It's rare
and allows you to convert items.
- Arm slot is now recognized as major armor, this will mean
more slots and enchanting later.
- Treat updated. Chances and number of flags altered.

- A number of fixes to Conquer quests and Task Extend. May
need more.
- New Clanleader command: Claim <area>. Clans can claim
two areas for now.
- Upgraded item generator to better ensure 'quality' looting
opportunities.
- New questmaster command: Quest treasure.
- Quest Elite and Auction items have a higher chance for Epic/Elite.
- Trial Code: Aging Bonus removed and given to Grade. This
will make for easier compares (since new eq's age bonus was
not considered) as well as make higher grade items more valuable.
Bond age bonus should still apply.
- Sayto added. Syntax: sayto <player> <whatever you're
saying>
- RP Exp is now earned for say, sayto, emote, remote and pmote.
This only works if you have the RPMode flag on. Imms can and
will monitor RP. help rpmode. RP levels give some amount of
HP based on level.
- Swarms should spawn in high level areas (not Dragoon).
- Quest Items can again be individually placed in the Supply
Pouch...oops.
- Major fix for abusage of unlearn and remake.
- Yell channel is recommended for Ember sightings, global socials
work now.
- Task report now works on Questmaster quests and Events where
you need to use an item/poster to complete. This means you can
type task report for it all.
- Data perk <perkname> gives info.
Logain's Additions:
- Some 'Silent Damage' deaths players have experienced were
fixed.
- Bash could deal undisplayed damage even on a miss. Fixed
- Reformatted Auction messages, Reduced Auto auctions
- Imbue Changed. You no longer need to bond imbued stones to
use. But there is a significant cost to apply them in craft
modify.
- Damage in PK *greatly* reduced for longer fights
- Fixed some 'none' messages in equipment comparing
- Fixed it so crafting an item during Bonding will not cut
the progress.
- Made Gem Storage two coloums for easier reading
- Misc. crash fixes
- Adapting mobs will adapt *before* aura damage
- Reordered pieces of the combat system for less 'oddities'
- Type 'score flags' to see any weapon flags active on your
character/eq
