(11/20/05)
- New Magic Perk: Link Cast, command: lcast This boosts your
chances of linking a spell, it also uses power cast level boost.
The mana cost is extreme, feedback is welcome as you get a feel
for it.
- New Quest Type: quest champion. This charges you some quest
points to temporarily become a champion. While you are, *all*
mobs will adapt to you partly. The intent is to allow players
a way to make the game more challenging as well as allow high
level players better means to experience and influencing in
regular zones.
- Major memory leak fixed. This should alleviate some lag we
experience.
- Unclanned people influence with a 50% penalty. I reduced
the penalty on high level influence and hopefully made influencing
more consistent for people of any level.
- Fly spell is refreshable, won't conflict with hover.
- Quest request takes mobs closer to your wear level.
- Eviscerate scale changed to use decimals. This will allow
some bonuses to grow. based on object wear level. This means
I need to update/fix existing equipment soon.
- Weapon flags don't show on identify for now. I'll fix this
on all weapons.
- Task prizes have more flexibility now, this means you can
complete a Bonus goal after you've done the quest and still
receive the bonus prize. Support for episode prizes.
Logain's Additions:
- New Race Attribute table shown in creation when you type
'table'.
- When in ready state, you can replace material on an item
with the Use command: use <material> <obj>
- Elist allows you to use a number range to search. Such as
elist sufa vnum 100 200.
- Armor and Weapon flags changed to allow other means of adding
them. More on this soon.
(11/03/05)
- Imbue is a bit tougher to do now as it requires Your research
rank match the enchants. We'll be updating the ranks of enchants
to be more sensible and fluid.
- Area attack spells can now link. Odds of linking are based
on the rank of the spell, character level and total Int. Other
factors will be added.
- Link duration improved a bit to aide with spell combos.
- Gem system only has 5 slots, one for each grade.
- A Variety of gems should begin dropping from kills. Quest
prizes to come.
- New Roster paging and 'roster inactive' list for GLs.
(10/29/05)
- Objectives command updated. You'll see when you use it.
- Hopefully fixed bugs related to Shield Skill affects and
remake keeping permanent affects after you get rid of the skills
in question.
- Some slot display issues are fixed automatically when you
log in.
- Gouge is now round based.
- Lore should work better for Rend, Gash, etc. Regarding wait
timers and effect.
- Objects should be named correctly when material is applied.
Grade added to naming.
- Some missions will now require you kill a certain percentage
of the mobs before you are rewarded. This will be shown in the
mission command.
- Fixed a bug with Eternal Speed/Energy not saving on relog.
- Disassemble requires you are ready if the item has aged at
all.
- Major Holiday Change: You can no longer specify which holiday
you want to purchase. The cost was lowered some and each holiday
is random. More importantly, holidays will begin Instantly.
I also increased the bonus for No Finals. Why would I be so
cruel? The goal is to make no Finals mean something again. People
used to jump out of afk whenever Finals kicked in, now it's
on more than it's off. I may need to adjust the timers.
- A number of other bug fixes were done, *many* crashes were
eliminated.
- Disassemble has been changed to drop plans more often and
gold less often. No more 0 results.
Logain's Additions:
Gem system further updated, they should be dropping soon after
reboot. Each slot will have a Grade, from Common to Epic. Gems
too will have grade. You will need to match gems grade to the
slot grade. This will allow good items to hold more powerful epic
gems but just one per item. We'll use this to add many quest gems
over time. Spell Combos! When spells are linked, there is a chance
they'll combo for extra damage.
(10/17/05)
- New methods to create adapting mobs of varying difficulty.
Separate adapting hp and damage.
- New adapting monetary quest prizes. Prizes easier to write
for builders:)
- Extra undeserved weapon flags should be removed at login
(sorry:). Clones from infusion, etc.
- Jewelry can be bonded, however there's no stat benefit to
doing so.
- 'Tech Gash' bug most likely fixed.
- The cap at perk level 10,000 has been lifted. This is a trial
only. All perk levels beyond 10k are subject to evaporation.
I want to see how things work, odds are it'll stay.
- New quest type: Challenge. Any quests intentionally very
difficult will receive this flag to warn players what's in store.
Benefits may follow.
- Restructured the Task and Episode system to allow quest goals
to be updated on all players after they have taken the quest
(alot of work but necessary). Just relog.
- Fixed the annoying "Find Unknown in Unknown and say
[quest word]" bug.
- Fixed Hysteria to hit all four elemental resistances.
- Circle skill can be used faster.
- As always, other small fixes were done that I've forgotten
to write down.
Logain's Additions:
- GShop Wares should finally work, along with Gshop remove.
- Blade Flare ability added to treat skill. This launches a
weapon flag if your weapon has one. Probably needs alot of balancing.
- Crafting parts have been replaced with a Gem system. The
whole 'size' concept was tossed. Instead, a gem's level has
to meet or beat that of the object level you use it on. The
nice part of this system is that gems can be much more interesting
than +50 attack. Kaysa has created 30+ gems for the loot system
but these won't drop until I modify things a bit. More on this
Gem system to follow. Including a Grade system that matches
our Rare/Epic item system. You may want to wait for more info.
Old parts still work but don't stack.
(10/04/05)
- Added adapting monetary prize options for making quests (gold
based on level).
- Fixed anti-kill steal code when mobs are killing mobs.
- Fixed a trade-drop bug.
- Fixed a nasty smelter bug that was generating extra material.
- New (unfinished) command: task prize #. This reports the
prizes from a task so you can decide whether it's worth it.
Spammy and not perfect, yet.
- Fixed a few other small bugs.
- New Perks!!? Type pl heroic. These are very expensive, inefficient
perks that are meant for high level players who have nothing
else to buy.
- New super mob. Occasionally you might come across a rare
Ember Fanatic. Kill it on sight. A shard and other prizes should
spill from its greedy hands. This mob can spawn as a player
event or in place of a champion.
