Travel & Exploration

In addition to the standard Cardinal Directions, there are many ways for Players to traverse and explore the world of Project Bob.

Areas: Project Bob is composed of Areas, each with a unique set of mobs and rooms that follow a theme. For a list of Areas as simply type area or to search for an Area containing mobs of a particular level, type area <monster level>.

Help <Area>: Many of the more popular Areas in Project Bob have Help Files, which can be accessed by typing, help <area name>. These files often contain directions, a summary of the area, and a player level recommendation.

Recall Points: Recall points are perhaps the quickest way to traverse the world. Recall points are rooms within an area that you can return to by typing recall <area name> <#>. Once you enter a room that is a recall point, it will be automatically added to your “recall list”. For additional recall features type, help recall.

Porting and Fastporting: Trying to find a specific mob and having a tough time? The port <mob name> command allows you to create a portal directly to your target. For people with lazy fingers, try fastport <mob> to bypass the portal and shoot straight to the mob. But beware, you may end up at the feet of a monster who does not appreciate your presence!

Where: Many powerful mobs have shields that prevent you from porting to them. To find them, use where <mob name>. You must be in the same area for this to work. Typing the “where” command without any arguments will reveal other Players within the area.

Map: If using the standard cardinal directions (nsewud) is too much we have provided a simple ASCII text map for you to use. Type map to pull up the map. If you would like the map to stay displayed you may type opti map to toggle it on & off.

Objective Spawn: Some bosses only appear after killing several of its henchmen. This command allows you to see how many more you must defeat before that special boss appears.
